Taskforce Focus: Addressing the use of race as a biological construct in medical practice and research.

Goals: To end practices adhering to race-based medicine, and promote racism-conscious medicine.
This task force aims to undo the centuries-long legacy of scientific racism embedded into current clinical algorithms which include, but are not limited to:

nephrology (estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) or kidney function),

pulmonology (Pulmonary Function Test (PFT),

pulse Oximetry),

cardiology (Atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD) risk calculator),

pharmacology (race-based therapeutics), etc.
